Our Story

The goal was to visit 100 countries to find the best place to live and grow and use as a base for Adventure Tourism. Ecuadorian coastal property first drew our attention to this small South American country the size of Nevada. We repeatedly returned to the Andean regions in the southern part of Ecuador. Eventually we found the perfect East-West river valley to start our dream project. After only 59 countries!

We now have 150 contiguous acres along the Piscobamba River near Vilcabamaba in Loja province. Loja is known for producing award winning coffee. Preparing the irrigation and starting and planting the 20,000 Geisha coffee plants were the top priority.

The plan was to retain as much of the old farmhouse structure as possible and to utilize any salvageable materials.  An addition for a garage, office and bedroom, with a master suite above was created and the kitchen was increased and made a focal point. Other projects included a shop with backup generator with a guest house on the second floor and solar array on the roof. A hydro-generator house, chicken coop, greenhouse, gazebo and guard house were also constructed. As well as an ancestral house made in the Inca tradition.
